192.168.1.254 Default Router Admin & Password

Whenever you purchase a new router or modem, you will get a default login username and password. But if someone has changed it or if you have forgotten your username or password you need to reset your router to factory default settings.

But always keep in mind that, if you reset your router, it will turn to factory 192.168.1.254 default router login and you will lose all your settings.

Step 1: First of all you need to turn off the router.

Step 2: Now you have to press and hold the reset button on the rear panel but to do that you need a pointed pin, a needle or compass and then turn on the router. But do not release the reset button and you have to keep on holding the button for around 5- 10 seconds after turning on your router.

Step 3: Now you can release the button and wait for the device to reboot.

Step 4: Now you can connect your computer to your router through a network cable or by using a Wi-Fi connection.

Note some important points:

Always make sure that your router is powered on before it restarts completely. Try with your default IP address and enter your default username and password as “admin”. Make sure that the IP address of your computer is within the same subnet of your router device which means the subnet mask should be 255.255.255.0 and the default gateway should be same with the IP address of your router.

How to Change IP address of your Router:

If you are getting so much problem and difficulty in changing your username or password, then you don’t need to do that. You can simply change the IP address of your router. As I have already told you earlier that IP address 192.168.1.254 troubleshoot codes are private IP address and this IP address can be only used for the IPv4 address.

But this IP address can also be changed if you want to. First of all, you need to check the instructions for your router, but most of the routers need to login to its web control panel. To do that, type your router IP address into the browser window. Then go to the LAN settings to change your required IP address. You also have to go to DHCP settings and type your new IP address which will become your new IP address.
